Existential ideas are radical, creative and liberating….. And you don’t have to have any knowledge of philosophy - just the curiosity and desire to begin the process of therapy which looks very different for everyone.
— Georgia Browne Therapy

I originally trained and qualified in Integrative Therapeutic Counselling (Level 4 Dip) and am a registered member of the BACP.

I am presently nearing the end of a Masters Existential Psychotherapy Studies (NSPC / Middlesex University). This approach, with its attention to meaning, lived experience, values and beliefs, draws on philosophical ideas – addressing the often deep-rooted anxieties of existence; uncertainty, choice, freedom, values and life’s limitations. It can be an incredibly meaningful and thought-provoking exploration of how we live, how we want to live and how we make sense of ourselves in the inevitable boundaries of existence.

experience

Previous to working as a therapist, I had a long career in pastoral care, live music and education.

I originally graduated with a BA Hons from Bristol University followed by a PGCE in education from Bath Spa University.

I have delivered psychotherapy to a diverse range of clients; at a large mental health charity in Swindon and in my private practice in Wiltshire.

As a registered member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy,  I adhere to their ethical and practical guidelines, keep up-to-date with new research and practice, undergo regular continued professional development and attend regular supervision.
